Do you charge for estimates?

No, I provide completely free quotes for all projects. Simply describe what you need, upload photos if available, or give me a call at 289-448-5124. I'll assess your project and provide you with an accurate estimate with no obligation whatsoever.

What areas do you service?

I proudly serve the Greater Hamilton area including Hamilton, Ancaster, Dundas, Mount Hope, Stoney Creek, and Grimsby. If you're not sure whether your area is covered, please contact me and I'll let you know right away.

What types of jobs do you handle?

I handle a wide variety of handyman services including carpentry & trim work, exterior maintenance, repairs & fixes, furniture & assembly, bathroom & kitchen tasks, storage solutions, interior touch-ups, and minor electrical work. I also specialize in technology services like running ethernet cable, moving and installing wifi routers, extending wifi coverage to difficult areas, and other tech-related home projects.

Do I need to supply materials or do you provide them?

Both options are available. If you already have materials, great! That's usually the most cost-effective approach. If you'd like me to source materials, I'm happy to do so. I'll add the cost of materials plus a small fee to cover my shopping time and fuel to your final quote.

How quickly can you start work?

I work to accommodate your schedule. Depending on my current workload, I can often start work within a few days. For time-sensitive or emergency repairs, I may be able to arrange faster service. Contact me to discuss your timeline and I'll do my best to help.

Are you insured?

Yes, I maintain proper insurance coverage for all work performed. This protects both you and myself during any project. When you hire Fixer Upper Upper, you can have confidence knowing that your home and belongings are protected.

What if I'm not satisfied with the work?

I have the utmost confidence in my work so all the work I do has my personal guarantee. I will make one return visit to investigate any claim of defective craftsmanship within a reasonable time.

Important details about my guarantee:

  • Material or items that have their own manufacturer's warranty must be followed by the specifications of the manufacturer
  • The customer is responsible for keeping purchase receipts, and any other documentation that may be needed for the manufacturer's warranty
  • If any work, material, or items under warranty are tampered with by any other person besides Fixer Upper Upper, the warranty is void
  • If a customer has any concerns or questions, they are to contact Fixer Upper Upper immediately
  • You do not make final payment until the work is completed and you are satisfied. By paying the full amount on the invoice, you confirm that you are 100% satisfied with the installation, repair or services performed by Fixer Upper Upper
  • I expect the final payment to be made within one week of receiving the final bill
  • I do not warranty parts and material. I purchase material for you and do not mark up my material costs to cover replacing defective parts. If parts are defective I will replace them for you but there will be a charge for my time
Do you handle large renovation projects?

I specialize in handyman services for small-to-medium projects. For larger renovation projects, I may be able to recommend trusted contractors. Feel free to contact me to discuss your specific project — I'm happy to help or point you in the right direction.

How do I request a quote?

You can request a quote in three easy ways: (1) Fill out the quote form on our home page and upload project photos, (2) Call or text us at 289-448-5124, or (3) Email me with details and photos of your project. I'll respond promptly with a free, accurate estimate.

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept multiple payment methods for your convenience including cash, e-transfer, and credit cards. I also accept Bitcoin—if you choose to pay with BTC, I'll provide a small discount as a token of appreciation. We'll discuss payment details when I provide your quote, and payment is typically due upon completion of the work.
